KUNSTENPLATFORM PLAN B

Food Library: Wild Foraging

Through our research, we question the diversity of our actions, with which we aim to develop knowledge about how we can find, preserve and consume food in an ecological way. Food has become an artistic medium for us: both for cooking and gathering, and as a way to discuss our food culture and reflect on how it relates to our social and physical environment. We cook on location with our portable oven and bring dried food from the market and wild edible plants that we have preserved ourselves. Our portable 'food library' is also used as currency during our journey. Our approach to food is linked to a broader critical view of food consumption. That is why the menu of the day and our recipes change according to the locations, encounters and knowledge gathered about the environment.

Inés and Michela use food and our food culture as an artistic medium, thereby questioning our social and physical environment. Equipped with nothing more than a portable oven and some kitchen utensils, they use Stone Soup to spark conversations, with the preparation of a dish serving as a bonding agent.
