Putting The Pieces Together

Bert Vila is collaborating with Lore Snauwaert, a member of the publication team, on a publication in which he collects his documentation, visual material and sketches from his research journey along various roads and peripheries; from the N9 and the harbour area in Ghent to the industrial environment of the Bruges Seaport.

As part of Veldwerk, artist Bert Villa is conducting research into his own mental blueprint with Memory Landscape. This has resulted in Assembly: a book that takes the reader on an associative journey through constructed landscapes, navigating the boundaries between artistic, functional and spontaneous constructions and everything in between.
