Report: Publication presentation Fieldwork II

With Veldwerk, arts platform PLAN B invites a group of artists each year to conduct artistic research in rural areas. During the second edition, these artists were Daems van Remoortere & Fallow, Sebastiaan Willemen & Lola Daels, Joris De Rycke, Lucas Devolder, Karolina Michalik and The Post Collective & Anna Housiada. 

Each of them tackled very diverse themes: from commons to saline agriculture, from labour migration to the influence of dams on ecosystems, from a nature documentary to research into how we can relate to new landscapes. More information can be found here. 

At the end of this process, we will compile the various projects in a publication, documented and explored in depth. This was presented on 21 May at De Koer in Ghent, together with three films linked to or created during Fieldwork II: REROOTING (2023) by the Post (Film) Collective, perpendicular parallels (2023) by Karolina Michalik and Ruderalia (2023) by Joris De Rycke.
