Cinema Belvedere
Een-twee is an artist duo consisting of Gustave Demoen and Janes Zeghers, both trained as visual artists. They met within the experimental fold of the a-i-e-o-u sound collective, where they played a central role for many years. They create visual art, organise and curate, and see no difference in value between these three practices. They always
work towards an event or performance moment in which they seek connection with each other and their environment. The artwork is a collection and manifests itself in various forms: a construction, a taste, an image, an experience, a film, an interaction...
For Kunst & Zwalm, een-twee built an in-situ cinema, a sculpture that is a cross between a watchtower, a resting place and a grandstand. They screened a landscape film, served popcorn with local flavours and let the audience lose themselves in a summer cornfield.
