Leen Vandorpe
WAVE TO THE WIND / LEND SIGNS
With her project Zwaai naar de wind (Wave to the Wind), visual artist Leen Vandorpe (°1992, B) sought a way to reveal Bekegem. During her residency week, she designed a multitude of flags, each focusing on specific aspects of the village. By placing them in a specific way, she created islands that magnified the small and the lonely, and allowed the landscape to speak for itself.
BIO
Leen Vandorpe (born 1992, Belgium) is a visual artist. After studying painting at LUCA School of Arts, she studied philosophy at Ghent University.
