Kenneth Berth
8 IN A ROW
8 in a row is a family portrait without images. This audio documentary, supported by an audio transcript, tells the story of the Flemish farming family Berth, a family of eight children. Because Kenneth himself is an only child, he questioned his aunts and uncles about this (at least for him) mysterious blood bond between brothers and sisters. Kenneth sketched this family chronicle based on the poem that his eldest aunt ("Marleen the number one") wrote when she was fourteen. A story peppered with anecdotes, which explores what it means to be 'family'.
