Rubén Orio Martinez
EGURRA
For his performance EGURRA, Rubén works with the minimalist composition XY by American composer Michael Gordon. Somewhere between concert and installation, Rubén explores the boundaries of musical notation. How does a performer bring the score to life? And who really deserves the credit for authorship? A wooden sculpture plays a central role in this exploration, serving a dual purpose: on the one hand as the raw material for an installation, and on the other as an instrument.
