With Imp.1.1, Winnie presents a short video work that zooms in on a small cog within a larger whole. This isolation shifts the emotional context and emphasises its vulnerability. The result: a sober search for the theatrical in technological processes, machines and physical phenomena.

BIO

Winnie Claessens (born 1989, Belgium) studied Liberal Arts at Sint Lucas Antwerp and Scenography at the Theatre School in Amsterdam. As a visual artist, she works in the fields of photography, video and theatre.
