KUNSTENPLATFORM PLAN B

A Dumpling Workshop and Dinner, 25/01 in Zwalm

Metaspora and Kunst & Zwalm invite you to

A Dumpling Workshop and Dinner on 25 January in Zwalm

On Saturday January 25, Metaspora and Kunst & Zwalm invite you to a special workshop that combines hands-on dumpling-making, a shared dinner, and storytelling. This happens within the frame of Kunst & Zwalm '25, curated by Kunstenplatform PLAN B.

Together we will learn to make buuz - traditional Buryat-Mongolian dumplings served during celebrations. We will explore the connection between food and cultural identity and show how traditional recipes can preserve and enhance them. By making dumplings together, we let the food speak; a sensory experience that is the starting point for sharing stories through a decolonial lens.

This event includes:
Dumpling workshop: Learn the art of making buuz dumplings.
Dinner: Eating together as a space for dialogue, thought and storytelling.

What do you bring? Do you have your own stories about food, with a link to land, family, community or culture? Would you like to share something in the group? Nice! Your stories will only enhance this celebration at the intersection of food, tradition and sharing.
