A Dumpling Workshop and Dinner
Metaspora and Kunst & Zwalm are pleased to invite you to a special workshop with dumplings, a communal dinner and shared stories. This event takes place as part of Kunst & Zwalm '25, curated by Kunstenplatform PLAN B.
Together we will learn to make buuz - traditional Buryat-Mongolian dumplings served during celebrations. We will explore the connection between food and cultural identity and show how traditional recipes can reinforce this. By making dumplings together, we let the food speak, a sensory experience that forms the starting point for sharing stories through a decolonial lens.
This event includes:
Dumpling workshop: Learn the art of making buuz dumplings. Dinner: Eating together as a space for dialogue, thoughts and storytelling.
What will you bring? Do you have stories about food that are linked to the place where you grew up, your family, community or culture? Would you like to share something with the group? Great! Your stories will only enhance this celebration at the intersection of food, tradition and sharing.

Train: Munkzwalm station is a 20-minute walk away. We can also pick you up at the station (more info later via email).

Post Collective's Metaspora (Mirra Markhaeva, Anna Housiada, Elli Vassalou) is one of the artist collectives participating in Kunst & Zwalm '25, a biennial art route in the Zwalm region.
