Artists Gökhan Kizilbuga and Betül Şefika are part of the group exhibition Coal and the Gang during the We Buildt This festival, a nomadic arts festival about labour migration and its (invisible) contribution to society. Betül presents a text and images based on her childhood walks on Den Tris, the Beringen slag heap, and the imagination that accompanied them. Gökhan is working on a contemporary reinterpretation of the Saint Barbara altar of dangerous professions. Their research takes place within the context of Today by Arts Platform PLAN B.
