Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe

MEA BIG CULPA

The opera Mea Big Culpa reflects Benjamin's emotional world, with Georg Friedrich Händel's Cara Sposa as its musical basis. A vocal improvisation about love and obsession, about dreams and fire.

Benjamin calls himself a self-proclaimed narcissist and a wannabe countertenor. His eccentric personality is at the heart of his work, in which he deliberately redefines ego, beauty and feelings. This artist longs to be called an enfant terrible and believes that the audience should definitely witness this.
