Bert Villa
CARBON
While prospecting in Bekegem, Bert Villa became captivated by the fireplace, as a beacon of warmth and civilisation. This structure was taken out of its context and placed in a field, inviting a new interpretation. From destructive to creative, his installation explored the possibilities of fire, with an emphasis on experimentation and collectivity.
