KUNSTENPLATFORM PLAN B

PLAN B arts festival 2018

The arts platform PLAN B was established in 2015 under the name Kunstenfestival PLAN B. Three young art students from the West Flemish village of Bekegem wondered what would happen if they used this space as a playground. For four editions, their village became a temporary experiment where visual arts, theatre, film and music sought a place between the environment and its inhabitants. The artists stayed with host families and presented their creations in public spaces, barns and stables, garages and living rooms.

In 2018, PLAN B was also a guest for four days at Gouvernement, a cultural platform in the centre of Ghent. As an extension of the festival weekend in Bekegem, a selection of the works was once again challenged to adapt to the rules of the city.
