Swerve - Zwankendamme

In September 2022, arts platform PLAN B will join forces with Uitwijken in Zwankendamme, a borough of Bruges on the edge of the port of Zeebrugge. We are inviting artists Laura Van Severen, Tijdelijk Informatie Centrum, Maarten De Vrieze, Thiaba Diop Egutchi and Jana Vasiljević to work on site and present a visual arts trail during the weekend of 30 September to 2 October; a playful exploration of forms of proximity and the role that art and artists can play in this. 

This project is being realised in collaboration with Uitwijken. Uitwijken is a mobile cultural centre that travels to the neighbourhoods of Bruges, initiated by Brugge+. They bring a diverse and completely free cultural offering close to the residents. The public space is the playing field and the target group is as broad as possible: everyone is at home in the Uitwijken cultural centre. More information: www.uitwijken.be
