Club Jaecques
What would the romance between Jack Dawson and Rose DeWitt Bukater look like in 2018? What if they traded their luxurious cabin on the Titanic for a ticket through the skies? Would this reduce not only the duration of the journey and their legroom, but also the chance of a love story?
Club Jaecques pours this fictional adaptation into an intimate radio play. With the necessary imagination and musical accompaniment, they take you on their Titanic Airlines.
BIO
The performance collective Club Jaecques, founded by Daan Borloo (born 1993, Belgium), Sam David (born 1994, Belgium) and Sam Ecker (born 1994, Belgium), usually presents a hybrid mix of text, music and theatre. With roots in Ostend, but with their sights set on infinity, these young artists continue to seek challenges outside the regular theatre scene. Earlier this year, they toured various living rooms with their story series Die man was me beloofd en nu is ie verloofd (That man was promised to me and now he's engaged). Their audio story Titanic Airlines will premiere on 10 August at the MoMeNT festival in Tongeren. You can listen to the preview for ten days at Theater Aan Zee (Ostend).
