Elias Cafmeyer

Finally, the time has come: one year after approval and almost three years after the plans were first conceived, we are finally starting construction of the long-awaited ring road around Bekegem. The R37 is born!

In his sculptures, Elias typically works with raw, industrial materials such as concrete, metal and unprocessed wood. He also creates video installations, for which, as with his sculptures, he draws inspiration from public space. In a casual and subtle way, he allows these to interact with the (urban) environment and examines how movement in a city is orchestrated through signage and urban development.
