UNCLEAR CORRESPONDENCES
From today onwards, there is a lot going on.
A tangible surface lies before us.
And everything passes by.
And everything goes by.
Sometimes the sun has to rise a little more often before it really is a new day.
Onduidelijke Correspondenties (Unclear Correspondences) is the graduation performance by (theatre) maker Menzo Kircz. A search for a language and shared space, performed at a table, with an audience as large as the number of people who can fit around the table.
In the run-up to the PLAN B 2018 Arts Festival, Menzo also organised a workshop. In the spirit of his performance 'Onduidelijke Correspondenties', he appealed to the audience's imagination. It was not the perfect plot that took precedence, but the biggest story behind the smallest objects.
BIO
Theatre maker Menzo Kircz (born 1989, Netherlands) graduated from the Drama programme at KASK Ghent. In and through his work, Menzo analyses and reconstructs the world, trying to understand it better. He uses unspectacular objects and stolen stories. Menzo has also been searching for a long time to discover what things and words actually have to do with each other, and what role people play in this.
