Fieldwork I

Fieldwork is a collective research project focused on rural areas. For the first edition in 2020/21, we invited eight artists to start a research project in interaction with a specific location, history, community, etc. Together, we posed open questions: a search for the value of small scale and how we can initiate and maintain collective dynamics. At regular intervals, we offered insights into the research processes through text, images, audio and public moments. The archive of this can be found on this page, as well as in the form of a publication. 

The Fieldwork I team consisted of Leontien Allemeersch, Mira De Schepper, Eva De Wolf, Vincent Focquet, Laura Gieseke, Trice Hofkens, Zoë Hoornaert, Camie Karstanje, Emma Keppens, Sara Plantefève-Castryck, Esther Schelfhout, Kim Snauwaert, Lore Snauwaert and Ewoud Vermote. Fieldwork I would not have been possible without all the helping hands, local participants, test audiences, etc.
